01 — The problem

The church's app was a shell that mostly bounced members out to the website — registering meant a re-login, and search returned every campus instead of your own. Leadership wanted the opposite of an engagement-maximizing app: something that helps people do a few things — register, give, find their campus, take notes — instantly, because the moment it feels like work, they quit. They needed a real, on-device pitch to weigh against their current vendor by a hard deadline.

02 — What we built

We built a working app on a real device to make the pitch tangible, not a slideshow. Its centerpiece is a campus-aware AI search: a member asks a question in plain language and gets a short, cited answer with a one-tap button into the exact next step — register, give, find a service time. Everything happens in the app, with no bounce out to the website and no re-login. Around it sits the full experience: one-tap event registration, a two-tap giving sheet prefilled from the member's profile, inline sermon playback, guided sermon notes, and a home screen personalized to who you are.

  • A campus-aware AI search: ask the question the way you'd say it out loud, get a short cited answer with a one-tap button into the next step.
  • One-tap event registration and a two-tap giving sheet, both prefilled from the member's profile.
  • Everything happens in the app — no bounce out to the website, no re-login.
  • Guided sermon notes that save as you type — the one feature members were already using, rebuilt.
  • A home screen personalized to the member: their campus and service times with zero clicks.
03 — The result

Delivered on a real device in time for the executive review, where leadership could hold the argument in their hands: a custom build against the incumbent vendor's shell.
